A big crowd looked over local artists’ and vendors’ wares and many stood in long lines for coffee, drinks and snacks, during the first few hours of the Green Gift Bazaar at the Post Commons, making for a good start to Small Business Saturday.
The event, sponsored by Alton Main Street and the Sierra Club, is part of the national “Small Business Saturday” movement, which encourages residents to shop at smaller, local establishments.
