He is most recently known for his production of the Alton Art Expo which served as a indie art fair designed to bring awareness to mental health, de-stigmatize access to care and generate overall awareness for Centerstone ( A national Behavioral Health Organization) and serve as a fundraising event for their outreach efforts.
The Gallery & Featured Artists:
Alongside his own work, Charles curates a diverse collection of artwork and handcrafted jewelry from more than eight artists, representing international, national, regional, and local talent. This carefully selected roster contributes to a dynamic and engaging creative space, ensuring a fresh and evolving artistic experience. What makes this gallery truly special is the remarkable stories of the artists it features:
Joe Bova Conti – A former vice cop who led one of the largest sex trafficking stings in the country, Joe was later diagnosed with cancer and given just months to live—more than five years ago. Today, he channels his resilience into high-end sterling jewelry and coaches girls’ hockey, proving that artistry and perseverance go hand in hand.
Rhonda Willman – A lifelong successful realtor until she suddenly lost her vision, Rhonda now creates breathtaking works of art. Using a magnifying glass and a painting style rooted in physics, she transforms her unique perspective into original masterpieces.
Stephen Scordias – After more than 20 years at a major university, Stephen left academia to fully return to the arts, embracing a passion that had been waiting for the right moment to flourish.
Craig Downs, Jay Thompson, Claudia Ruth, Natalie Wellborn, Jen Fisher, Joe Bova Cont, Sandra Griffin, and a growing list of local artists, including Rhonda Willman, Marry Berry, Jon Ross-Mooneyham, and many more.
Beyond showcasing established national and international talent, this space is designed to give emerging artists the opportunity to exhibit alongside successful and renowned creators, a chance they might not otherwise get. This atmosphere of mentorship and artistic elevation helps launch new voices into the world of fine art, making Mooneyham Art LLC more than just a gallery—it’s an incubator for bold artistic journeys.
New art arrives all the time, ensuring an ever-evolving collection that keeps the space vibrant and inspiring and EVERY ARTIST HAS A STORY.
”I feel art is a vehicle of celebration and healing. I can think of no better way to lift a community than through empowerment of the arts.”
