The 2026 season of the Alton Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market will run every Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. until Noon starting May 9th through Oct 17th, in the parking lot at the corner of Landmarks Blvd. & Henry Street in Downtown Alton, Illinois. The market will be in session rain or shine!
Shoppers will find a wide selection of locally-grown seasonal fruit and vegetables including heirloom varieties and organically grown crops, along with grass-fed beef, pasture-raised poultry, farm fresh eggs, local honey, hot and iced coffee, fresh bread and other baked goods. In addition, fresh cut flowers, potted plants, and a large assortment of hand-crafted artwork such as pottery, stained glass, soap, candles, and woodworking items will be sold. We also welcome vendors to serve meals that are ready to eat on-site, so expect an abundance of delicious breakfast and lunch items to be available!

This year marks the 34th season of the Alton Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market, organized by Alton Main Street as part of the organization’s efforts to revitalize the Downtown Alton historic district.
Alton’s market boasted $1.1 million dollars in economic impact over the 2024 season!

BASIC VENDOR INFORMATION
At the Alton Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market, any products that are handmade by the vendor or homegrown within a 50-mile radius are welcome to be sold.
New vendors are welcome; registration fees are $15.00 per week, with discounted seasonal rates available.
Any vendor up to 18 years of age receives their first week free to encourage our youth to try their hand as an entrepreneur!
Complimentary booth space is available for 501c3 designated non-profit organizations. You may attend as often as you like during the months of September & October, but from May through August only one non-profit booth will be offered per week due to space limitations. Organizations may choose their peak week on a first-come first-served basis, one peak week per organization. Please fill out our registration form linked below (select free non-profit booth) then use the separate button to reserve your week.
If you will be selling uncut fruits and vegetables, art, or crafts then all of the information pertaining to your booth can be found on our registration form.
If you will be selling any food other than uncut fruits and vegetables, please see the Food Vendor Regulations page for detailed requirements which have recently been updated to allow greater flexibility.
