Alton Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market
Saturday, May 9 – Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020
The Alton Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market is in season now!
Our market is open from 8am-Noon every Saturday through October 17th. Fresh produce, plants, meat, cheese, eggs, honey, baked goods, and other edible products as well as handmade arts and crafts are available.
In response to the pandemic, vendor booths will be more spread out than our typical layout in order to ensure plenty of space for social distancing. Electronic payment is encouraged to minimize cash handling. The market had been drive-through only during the month of May, but as of June shoppers will be allowed to exit their cars.
The Illinois Farmers Market Association has been very helpful with our planning process, and has lined out enhanced sanitation procedures that will be required by all vendors. Prospective vendors – please visit this page and review the vendor guide for full details: https://www.ilfma.org/resources
Unfortunately we do not have a solution for the SNAP payment process, as there is too big of a risk of transmitting germs when passing the currency through so many hands; therefore, we will not be able to accept SNAP until further notice.
