Our organization presents numerous fun free events, makes the “front door” of our community more inviting, maintains beautiful native flower gardens, and coordinates the Alton Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market that boasts over a million dollars of economic impact every summer. These are just a few ways AMS is creating a big impact in our small river town.

Friends of Alton Main Street is the charitable 501(c)3 arm of Alton Main Street, which is classified as a 501(c)6 non-profit.

Donations to Friends of Alton Main Street are tax-deductible, and are used for its mission to create a beautiful, safe, walkable community center in historic Downtown Alton, Illinois while preserving its historical assets.
