Alton’s Splash Pad opened in the summer of 2021, thanks in part to a grant from the American Water Charitable Foundation! Located in Riverfront Park near the Alton Amphitheater, features of the splash pad include sprayers, slides, restrooms, a concession stand, and picnic tables covered by shade structures.
This awesome play area provides families with an inclusive water play space. The splash pad also includes educational signage designed by local artist Jennifer Hayden that reflects Alton’s history and ecology. The nature-themed elements of the splash pad connect us to our community’s location along the Mississippi River.

The splash pad is free of charge and open daily from 10am – 5pm from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The Alton Parks & Recreation Department also offers reservations for Splash Pad parties after hours! Make your reservation today by calling 618-463-3580.
